A Walk Across America

A spiritual journey; a humble search rewarded

One of the books that has had a greater impact on me. This is personal testimony of a young man who set out walking across half of America, East to West, disillusioned with his near surroundings. Along the way he will meet many different people who will teach him to see life from many other points of view, and helping him find therefore his own true take on life and on America and Americans. Disenchanted at first; hopefull, reborn, to the end. A spiritual journey.

Written in a simple style, with humility and candidness. A spiritual journey that we have the privilege to witness, and that can be a great benefit to those who sit at home, prisoners of their empty selfs. A portrait of rural America, of real people and of real places. Real life always excells fiction. A most highly recommended book, don't miss this humbling experience.

On Cuba's Revolution:

"The revolution was a cover for committing atrocities without the slightest vestige of guilt ... we were young and irresponsible. We were pirates. We formed our own caste ... we belonged to and believed in nothing -no religion, no flag, no morality or principle. It's fortunate we didn't win, because if we had, we would have drowned the continent in barbarism."

Jorge Masetti, In the Pirate's Den

My soul, once true to God
Is chosen for hell."
